Better news for AFAI is still to come in February. On 26th February, AFAI got another design and construction contract of two 199 pax aluminum fast ferry from Guangdong Public Water Transport Co., Ltd.

The ferry for this project is the featured product of AFAI after years of investigation and optimization. The ferry has LOA 40m, molded bean 9m, molded depth 3.4m, designed draft 1.3m and passenger capacity of 199 persons.

Along with the announcement of Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area that calls everyone’s attention, the successful contract meets the need to develop the Greater Bay Area and improves the transport capacity between the cities of Greater Bay Area.

The contract ceremony was held successfully, during which the General Manager of Guangdong Public Water Transport Co., Ltd – Mr. Chen Yu and the General Manager of Afai Southern Shipyard – Mr. Chen Xiaoliang signed the contract of design and construction, witnessed by the Vice General Manager of Guangdong Provice Navigation Group Co., Ltd – Mr. Zhang Daowu and the Director of Guangdong Public Water Transport Co., Ltd – Mr. Luo Jian.

During the ceremony, the representatives of shipowner fully expressed their confidence and recognition for AFAI, as well as their expectation about delivery of the high quality ferries according to contract plan, with the purpose to develop the navigation industry between the cities of Guangzhou, Dongguan and Shenzhen and to participate in the development of water transportation of Greater Bay Area. This will be the first ferries to a local shipowner of Guangzhou by AFAI, according to the General Manager of AFAI – Mr. Chen Xiaoliang. After come into use, the ferries will provide full and better service for Guangzhou water transport system and furthermore promotes the development of water transport of Greater Bay Area. AFAI will guarantee high product quality and provide first rate service as always.
